Experience
I pursued my education at OSU, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a double minor in Psychology and Human Development and Family Science.
For the past ten years, I have been a country singer-songwriter, touring extensively throughout the Northwest region. In addition to being the lead singer and face of the band, I also took on the roles of creative director and band manager. These responsibilities encompassed managing logistics, marketing, and sales to ensure that each show fulfilled the desired outcomes for both the venue and the audience.
As the creative director, I thrived in developing successful set lists and choreography, drawing upon past experiences and market research. I customized each performance to suit the specific venue and style of the show, taking into account factors such as tempo, the ratio of original to cover songs, length of continuous play, break intervals, and break lengths.
Performing in outdoor settings like county fairs or concerts in the park allowed us to tailor our show to fit the community and event theme. We strategically planned the length of the show and the order of the songs to maximize crowd response and interaction. Minimizing instrumental changes, spreading out vocal-intensive songs, and considering the lyrics and messages of each song all contributed to enhancing audience engagement and the overall flow of the show.
Executing a well-designed and choreographed performance requires extensive research, testing, and practice, often spanning weeks or even months. While the audience may only see the final product, I fully understand the dedication and effort that goes into each show. I consistently maintain financial and operational diligence, recognizing that a viable business plan is crucial to ensure successful performances.
In addition to my entertainment career, I have also dedicated significant time to working in the education field. As a lead preschool teacher and family advocate for the Clackamas County Head Start Program, I made a positive impact for two years. More recently, my full-time role as a family educator at the Marion County Head Start has allowed me to provide valuable social work services.
With my unique combination of entertainment, event planning, and social work expertise, I offer a comprehensive skill set in creating memorable experiences. It is my ultimate aspiration to lead a team that organizes exceptional events which are not only entertaining but also educational, enriching the community. While event planning and entertaining truly ignite my passion, my heart lies in education. My goal is to discover innovative ways to merge these two worlds, creating and promoting family-oriented events. I am driven, organized, and fully committed to delivering extraordinary experiences while cultivating positive relationships with clients.
